Guitar Hero: On Tour looks retarded, honestly. It doesn't look like you'd be able to straddle very fast at all (straddling = fast picking on one string, if you didn't know) and I don't know how reliable the touch-screen strum system will be in the first place.

And you don't have a guitar-sized controller, so if you do what those kids did on the trailer for it, it's no different from dancing wildly while listening to your ipod. In other words, people will be afraid of you.
...whereas with the original games, you can move around and rock out and actually be showing off, since it looks like you have a guitar in your hand and you are actually producing the music that's playing.
I'd put this in the games forum, but it'd be pointless as its own thread since not many people would want to talk about it that much.

i never tried guitar hero but people say it's fun... i guess letting them taste how it feels to play a guitar is nice... but then again i have a keyboard... all i have to do is push "voice 32" to get my strings >.>;

Guitar Hero is not even close to anything like playing a real guitar.

So I really don't think it gives them the right 'taste' of what a guitar feels or plays like at all @_@
